SYSTEMS ENGINEER

Job Qualifications:

Minimum of 8 years’ experience designing and managing Windows Server and Desktop environments, including firewalls and hosted services.

Current hands-on support of small to mid-size client networks consisting of 50 – 500 users

High-level of proficiency in Windows Server technologies including but not limited to:

  • Active Directory
  • Group Policy
  • PowerShell

Critical thinking, communication, collaborator, problem solver and Leadership is a must

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
  • Current Microsoft Certification preferred

Bonus Certifications:

  • VCP
  • CCNA
  • MCSE
  • CompTIA Security+
  • Server+

A Day in the Life of a Project Engineer:

Responsibilities and job duties include but are not limited to the following:

  • 50% server design, build and implementation, 20% switching, routing and firewalls, 20% technical escalations, 5% administration work, 5% training and mentoring
  • Analysis, design, implementation and user testing of client environments
  • Documentation of client network environments and configurations
  • Mentoring others
  • Ensure successful, profitable and supportable completion of projects for our clients
  • Attention to smallest details of user environments to ensure a consistent end user experience
  • Participation in an on-call rotation required

SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR

Job Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience providing desktop support and server systems administration in Windows environments required
  • A working conceptual knowledge of all components of a modern systems infrastructure (networking concepts, network protocols, security, etc.)
  • Firewall and virtualization experience a plus
  • Associate’s Degree or 3 years equivalent work experience
  • CompTIA Security+, Server+, MCP or any current Microsoft certification preferred, ITIL Foundations certification
  • Smokers and tobacco users need not apply. We are a smoke-free environment.

Military experience preferred*

  • *Applicants that have served our country honorably in the Armed Forces will be prioritized*
  • A Day in the Life of a Systems Administrator:
  • Responsibilities and job duties include but are not limited to the following:
  • 90% in our office supporting clients remotely, 10% at customer site
  • Taking call and responding to service tickets providing remote support, administration and maintenance of customers’ systems and applications
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot client issues
  • Ensure system optimization; monitor, troubleshoot and resolve performance issues
  • Manage software, coordinate with third-party vendors and own client documentation
  • Perform systems administration: security, file and directory permissions, adding/deleting users, etc.
  • Attention to smallest details of user environments to ensure a consistent end user experience
  • Participation in a on-call rotation required

  • 80% desktop support at customer sites, and 20% remote support in our office
  • Responding to service tickets and providing onsite support, administration and maintenance of customers’ systems and applications
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot client issues
  • Ensure system optimization; monitor, troubleshoot and resolve performance issues
  • Manage software, coordinate with third-party vendors and own client documentation
  • Perform systems administration: security, file and directory permissions, adding/deleting users, etc.
  • Attention to smallest details of user environments to ensure a consistent end user experience
  • Participation in an on-call rotation required
  • Reliable transportation is a must
